Parkersburg will proudly be hosting this working conference!
Generation West Virginia is hosting its Annual Winter Work Session on Saturday, March 20th (Final Day of Winter!) at the Blennerhassett Hotel in Parkersburg, WV from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Sub-committees will be meeting after our general session between 3 and 5 p.m. with space reserved at the hotel.)
We will be celebrating 3 years of our growing movement! This Work Session provides time for you to network with other young talent organization (YTO) leaders in the state (now at 11 region partners), discuss Generation WV progress and plans for the next three years, coordinate collaborative projects, hear from state leaders, host sub-committee meetings, and much more.
Due to the location of this meeting Generation WV is offering a special lodging opportunity to those traveling three hours or more for the session. We have reserved a block of rooms at a reduced rate for those wanting to come in and stay on Friday night. (Please let us know in your email to confirm your attendance if you want the overnight accommodations options)
Due to the size of the meeting space and cost we are providing a free registration to the following folks:
- Two representatives from each young talent organization, preference to your leadership team (total of 22)
- Members of the Generation WV Steering Committee (total of 15)
- GWV Sub-Committee Co-Chairs (total of 10)
- If you are affiliated with your local Chamber(s) of Commerce, your Chamber’s Ex. Director or other lead staff person is invited to attend
If your YTO wishes to send more than two representatives and your one representative on the Generation WV Steering Committee (total of 3), there will be a charge of $30/person to alleviate the costs of the meeting. Extra seating will be limited!
We ask each region to be prepared to give a 3 to 5 minute update on your major accomplishments this past year and plans for the future.
